Consecutive interpreting

Consecutive interpreting is generally used for events such as press conferences, interviews and small meetings. The interpreter takes notes and translates the speech segment by segment.

The acoustics in the room are therefore important and the interpreter should also be able to sit near to the speaker. It should be noted that the use of consecutive interpreting means that the speeches take longer.
